Three organisations become one
Deutsche Post World Net made the strategic decision to unite all its express and logistics activities under the umbrella brand DHL. The "new DHL" had the objective of becoming the global number 1 by 2005. In order to reach this ambitious goal both internal and external communications were to play a pivotal role.
From 1. April 2003 all the competencies of three partners were brought together under the DHL umbrella. DHL, worldwide leader in air express; Danzas, worldwide leader in air and sea cargo; Deutsche Post Euro Express, European leader in parcel services.
The DHL brand now stood for international and national express and logistics services from one source. With the new internationally renowned brand DHL, Deutsche Post World Net signalled its rise to the global player league.
