PB&C was on board from the beginning. Together with company and factory management they developed a detailed communications concept which covered all key target audiences, from the information tasks of the mother company Industry Holding Cham to contact with factory staff and with local authorities. The plan for the week of the communication of the closure included 150 individual measures and the actual day of the closure announcement was planned down to the last minute.

Formulation of key messages, intensive media training in Italian and detailed preparation of the presentation to staff were all included in the preparatory measures.

On the announcement day in Spring 2006 PB&C and its team was on the spot, helping to control the flow of information and take care of the representatives of the media who had been invited to attend. In this way, company management was free to devote themselves to staff members and to attend meetings with other key stakeholders.
